A Guide to Selecting Your Web Hosting Server

At Site.eu, we understand that every website has unique requirements. That's why we offer the flexibility to choose your own web hosting server when activating web hosting in your dashboard. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of selecting the ideal server for your website's needs.

Automatic Server Selection:

By default, our system will choose a web hosting server for you based on the least amount of users. While this ensures optimal performance, it may not always be the best fit for your specific requirements.

Choosing the Right Server Configuration:

  1. High-Speed Performance: If you're looking for exceptional speed, we recommend selecting a web hosting server equipped with LiteSpeed and Redis. These technologies enhance website performance and ensure faster loading times.
  2. NodeJS Support: If your website requires NodeJS, make sure to choose a web hosting server that specifically supports it.
  3. Legacy PHP Versions: For websites that rely on older PHP versions, it's crucial to select a web hosting server that supports the specific PHP version your site needs.

Additional Benefits of Server Selection:

  1. SEO Advantages: Hosting your websites on servers with different IP addresses can potentially boost your search engine rankings. Search engines may perceive websites hosted on diverse IP addresses as more independent and authoritative, giving you an SEO edge.
  2. Redundancy and Reliability: By distributing your websites across multiple servers, you reduce your dependency on a single web hosting server. This added redundancy minimizes the risk of downtime and ensures your websites remain accessible even if one server encounters issues.

Step-by-Step Guide to Choosing Your Web Hosting Server:

  1. Log in to your Site.eu dashboard and navigate to the web hosting activation tab for your all-in-one plan.
  2. Locate the checkbox that says "Automatically choose the best web hosting server for me." and uncheck it.
  3. You will now see a list of available web hosting servers. Review their specifications and choose the one that best aligns with your website's requirements.
  4. Proceed with the activation process, and your website will be hosted on the selected server.
