Why you shouldn't wait
Attackers don't search by hand. Their software scans the internet for known security holes, often within days after a hole is made public. An outdated plugin is like a window you left open. Sooner or later, someone climbs in.
And a hacked website does real damage. It can steal your visitors' data, show spam or spread malware.
We email you when we find something
When we find a problem, you get an email. One email per hosting account, about all its websites:
- A hacked website: right away, or once a day.
- A new high or critical security hole: right away, once a day or once a week.
- Updates and outdated software: in a report every Monday, or on the first Monday of the month.
Each email shows what we found and what to do. And it has a button to let us fix it.
You choose which emails you get in the Security tab of your plan. Read how the Security tab works.
Option 1: fix it yourself
It's free, and you stay in control. Open the Security tab of your plan. For each website, it shows what we found and what to do.
- A hacked website? Remove the malware and change all passwords: website users, FTP and the database. Then update the website software and every plugin and theme. Using WordPress? Read what to do when your WordPress website is hacked.
- A security hole? Install the update that closes it. No update yet? Remove the plugin or theme, or replace it.
- Software not up to date? Install the updates. And remove the plugins and themes you don't use.
Please do it as soon as you can. Is a website hacked? Then today.
Option 2: let us do it with Website Care
Rather not fix it yourself? Our technicians do it for you:
- Hacked websites: we remove the malware and put back the changed files. We close the hole the attacker used and change all passwords. Then we update and secure the website.
- Update & secure: for your other websites, we close the security holes and install the updates.
Included for 3 months after our work:
- We install new updates, with a backup first.
- We check your websites 4 times a day instead of once.
- Hacked again, or broken by an update? We fix it for free.
You pay once. There's no subscription. In each hosting account, the first website costs the most, and every other website costs less. You see the price of each website before you pay.
Can't we clean a hacked website? Then you get your money back for that cleanup. Update & secure can't be refunded.

How to order Website Care
Step 1: Log in to your dashboard and click Plans. Open the plan with your web hosting and click the Security tab.
Step 2: Click Let us fix it. You only see this button when one of your websites needs work.
Is a website hacked? Then you also find Have it cleaned under the malware we found. The button in our emails takes you to the same place.
Step 3: Choose your websites. Hacked websites and websites that need updates are already ticked. A website that's up to date? Tick it too. Then it also gets 3 months of updates and the warranty.
Tip: do all of them. Websites in one hosting account can change each other's files. A website you leave out can let an attacker back in. And the warranty doesn't cover that.
Step 4: Tick the box to give us permission to change your websites. We always make a backup first. Then click Continue to payment and pay the way you're used to.
After you pay
We start within 1 working day. When we're done, we email you. Do we need something from you, like the license key of a paid plugin? Then we email you too.
Right after you pay, the Security tab shows until when your websites are protected. Until that date, we check them 4 times a day.
Good to know
- Websites with software. We update and secure websites with software like WordPress or Joomla. We clean hacked websites either way.
- Don't see the button? Then none of your websites needs work right now, or they're already protected.
